4) Quick support tips for your MegaPhone software

In order to receive the best operation from your MegaPhone software,
please review the below support information, or visit us at

a. If you are using Mac OS 8.0, you will need to use MegaPhone 2.0.9 or later.

b. If you are using Mac OS 8.1, you will need to use MegaPhone version 2.1.

c. If you are using Mac OS 7.1 - 7.6.  Make sure that you have virtual memory turned off.

d. If you are using Geoport, make sure that you have the latest Telecom software. OS
 8.0 and 8.1 users will find the update on their OS CD Rom, in the CD extras folder.

e. If you are using a screen saver, disable it. It will cause problems when answering
 your phone. A better solution would be to turn your monitor off when not in use.

f. If you are using energy saver, don't disable the extension, just make sure that its
 settings are set to never let your Mac sleep or hard drive spin down.

g. How long has it been since you optimized your hard drive? Not only will the
 optimization allow for better sound quality, but it will also speed up your hard drive
 operations.

h. Want to back-up your MegaPhone Contacts?  MegaPhone version 1.xx users should
 make a copy of the "CONTACTS" file located in the Cypress folder in your system
 preferences folder. MegaPhone version 2.xx users should make a copy of the
 "DATABASE" file located in the Cypress folder in your system preferences folder.
