But with technology which has been designed specifically for the Macintosh you can experience the comfort and quality sound that headset users are experiencing daily with their MegaPhone software. Headsets are ideal for MegaPhone users who: * Need to have their hands free to multi task * Use the phone on a regular basis * Work in a noisy office environment * Want to have private phone conversations * Have neck or back problems The two headset solutions that are available to MegaPhone users are the Jabra Earset, and the NE-Mic adapter (with headset). The most popular of the two, is the Jabra Earset. The Jabra earset is compact, lightweight and ergonomically designed. The soft colorful eargels give you a near custom fit in your outer ear for hours of comfortable wear. And unlike earpads, eargels are healthy for your ear and washable too. The ear piece weighs just 0.1 ounce or 3 g. The next option, is to use a regular headset with your MegaPhone . In order to accomplish this, you will need a headset designed specifically for your hardware. If you are using an external modem with your MegaPhone (Geoport excluded) you can use most computer headsets on the market today. However, if you are using the Geoport, or any of the internal Global Village modems with your MegaPhone , you will need to purchase an NE-Mic adapter for your headset to work. The reason for this is simple. Macintosh Computer's use Apple's PlainTalk technology (which uses a custom 3.5 mm PlainTalk mic plug instead of the standard 3.5 mm mic plug). In response to an overwhelming demand, the NE-Mic was developed to allow standard 3.5 mm mics to work with Macintosh computers based on Apple's PlainTalk technology. Once an NE-Mic is plugged into the rear of your Macintosh, you can use any standard 3.5 mm microphone! ******* SPECIAL PRICING***** For the next week, we are offering a special discount on......... Jabra for internal modems (PlainTalk plug) - on sale for $39.95 Jabra for external modems - on sale for $39.95 NE-Mic PlainTalk microphone adapter - on sale for $16.95 NE-Mic Combo (includes a stereo headset) - on sale for $24.95 ======================================================== My free version of MegaPhone never worked! Since our last email announcement, we spoke to several individuals who were never able to get their MegaPhone to work! We found that each one of these Macintosh users were using an Apple Performa system that was sold with Mac OS 8.0 or 8.1. The problem with MegaPhone Surfaced because the version of MegaPhone , included on the Performa was only designed to work with system 7; hence problems with MegaPhone occurred. So if you have a Performa, and you have never been able to use the MegaPhone application, please give us a call. ======================================================== How to reach Bing Software Sales (949) 888-6633 Support (949) 888-6639 Fax (949) 888-6635 Web site: www.bingsoftware.com
